The cost of health care and health care coverage has reached unsustainable levels. Anyone representing they have a two sentence answer to this problem… doesn’t.

The advances in health care have outpaced society’s ability to pay for it. Deregulation may provide short term relief, but continuing advances will likely continue to drive up costs. Socializing medicine, while providing a safety net for all Americans, will almost assuredly reduce the quality of health care available.

In short, the variables associated with this mess extend well beyond the borders of Idaho and needs to be addressed at the national level. Solutions, other than a socialized system, which make the cost of health care manageable for Idaho families, should be supported.
