Varied levels of government need to be cut. Government Services need to be streamlined and not duplicated. One must ask why it is necessary for cities within Ada County to duplicate services that the county also provides. Economies of scale are lost when we duplicate services and correspondingly duplicate the support staff necessary to provide those services.
Government leaders, at all levels, need to ask hard questions about who can provide services with the most efficiency. Once sound conclusions are reached, tough decisions need to be made. The thrust of this movement needs to start with our legislators. Cutting government has been a noun for too long. Cutting government needs to become a verb.
