Jeff was born and raised in Rexburg, Madison County, Idaho. His first introduction to the Treasure Valley came at the age of 15, when he corn topped in the fields of Kuna, Idaho. He came back to Boise, in High School, for Boys State, Business Week, Youth Legislature and some debate tournaments.

Jeff later returned to Boise to attend Boise State University. During that time, he drove a school bus for Fort Boise Junior High and achieved a Bachelors of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Economics. His wife, Kirstin, also worked full time at St Luke’s Hospital downtown. She fell in love with the area and they determined to someday return.

Following graduation from BSU, Jeff went to the University of Idaho for law school. While in Moscow, he was the State Youth Committee Representative for the Latah County Republicans for a year. After passing the Idaho State Bar exam, he was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the United States Air Force JAG Corps. He received orders to Washington D.C. and lived in the District, on Bolling Air Force Base, with his family. Jeff was the Chief of Labor and Employment Law for two years and interacted with a number of Field Operating Agencies across the country and with some individuals at the Pentagon.

Following his three year tour in DC, Jeff was ordered to Mountain Home Air Force Base. He and his family moved to Boise and Jeff commuted for his remaining three years in the service. During his first four years in the military, Jeff prosecuted court-martial cases assigned to him. During his remaining two years, he served as the local defense counsel on the installation.

Jeff separated from the Air Force and opened his own law practice in Boise. He recently formed a partnership with another attorney in town. He was formerly the Vice President of his home owners’ association for two years and is currently serving as the President. Further, he serves as the Vice Chairman of the Board for the Friends of Children and Families, Inc., which is the not for profit organization in the local community that administers the Head Start program. He fulfills his current duties to work with the 12 and 13 year old Boy Scouts. He and Kirstin are the proud parents of six children. My Space Video
